Pet Radiography Services

Bring your pet to Hampton Animal Hospital where we’ll find the cause of your pet’s ailment. After a conducting thorough examination, we are fully equipped to take x-rays and ultrasonography of your pet. Imaging is a crucial tool to diagnosing diseases and injuries in your dog or cat.

The Imaging Process

We perform x-rays to take a closer look so we can give your pet the best care possible. If your pet is nervous or uncomfortable during the procedure, we’ll suggest sedation to prevent sudden movement and to allow us to take the best quality imaging as possible.

The goal is to obtain a clear answer from our imaging test. Our veterinarians will show you the images to discuss the diagnosis and treatment plan for your dog or cat.

Radiography

Painless, safe, and completely non-invasive, radiography uses only very low doses of radiation, making it safe for pregnant pets, puppies, and kittens.

We use radiographs to evaluate bones and the position body’s organs. Medical conditions can alter the size of these organs, so it’s essential to receive a clear vision. Intestinal blockage or cancer can also distort organs. Tumors, bladder stones, arthritis, and a variety of conditions can be detected using radiography.

Ultrasounds

Unlike radiography, ultrasonography does not use radiation. This imaging service uses high-frequency sound waves to create a picture of what is inside your pet’s body. Ultrasonography is a completely non-invasive, painless way to diagnose and evaluate many common diseases.

Ultrasounds pick out abnormalities in the motion of heart valves, blood flow through the heart, and heart muscle contractions. Our patients receive the highest quality medicine and preventive testing.
